Privacy policy

BottleBaby is an independent app operated by Regan Reding, an individual sole proprietor trading as "BottleBaby". Regan Reding is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy and decides why and how it is processed. Questions about this policy or your data: redingre@gmail.com.

• Account information. Your email address, and — if you sign in with Google — the basic profile information Google returns (name, email, profile image). We never receive your Google password.
• Content you enter. Kitten profiles, feeding entries, weight entries, notes, vet-visit details and supply lists.
• Photos. Images you choose to upload from your device library or camera, stored with the kitten they belong to.
• Purchase records. If you buy the premium unlock, our payment provider processes the payment and we store only whether your account is unlocked. We never see or store your card details.
• Feedback you send. The message, the page you sent it from, and an email address if you choose to include one.
• Basic technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser or app version, timestamps) used to keep the service running and secure.

No location tracking, no contacts, no microphone access, and no advertising identifiers. The app requests photo library or camera access only when you tap to add a picture, and only the image you pick is uploaded.

• To create your account, sign you in, and keep your logs available across devices.
• To show your kittens, charts, photos and vet reminders back to you.
• To unlock premium features for accounts that purchased them.
• To answer your feedback and fix problems.
• To protect against abuse, spam and security incidents.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your kitten logs or photos for advertising.

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (running your account, storing your logs, delivering premium features); our legitimate interests (keeping the service secure, preventing abuse, improving the product and answering your feedback); your consent (photo library or camera access, and any optional marketing); and compliance with legal obligations (tax and accounting records for purchases).

Your kitten logs and photos are private to your account. Access is enforced at the database level, so other signed-in users cannot read your records.

We share data only with the service providers that run the app:

• Hosting and database provider — stores your account, logs and photos.
• Google — only if you choose Google sign-in.
• Paddle.com — our reseller and Merchant of Record. If you buy premium, Paddle handles the sale, payment processing, invoicing, tax compliance, refunds and buyer support, and receives the billing details you enter at checkout.
• Professional advisers — accounting or legal advisers, where necessary.

We may also disclose information if legally required, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

The supplies page includes links to Amazon. BottleBaby is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and may earn a commission from qualifying purchases. Clicking a link takes you to Amazon, where Amazon's own privacy policy applies. We do not share your account information with Amazon.

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your kitten profiles, feeding and weight entries, notes and photos are deleted with it. Backups and routine server logs may persist for a short period before being overwritten.

• You can view and edit every kitten, entry and photo from inside the app.
• You can delete individual kittens, entries, photos and supply items at any time.
• You can request a copy of your data, correction of it, or full account deletion by emailing redingre@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days.

Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, UK, or California), you may have additional rights to access, correct, port, restrict or object to processing. Email us and we will honor them.

BottleBaby is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls that limit each account to its own records. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected users of any breach that legally requires it.

If we make material changes we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
